This year's Hari Raya is very meaningful and shall be an unforgettable one. Wanna know why??
Coz Hari Raya coincides with my mom's birthday!!
As the anual routine goes, my mom handles the cooking part in my maternal grandma's house (Gelugor), while the rest of us manage the house tidiness, decoration and "well-being". Hahaha!!
On Hari Raya eve (nite of 30th Ramadhan), Mak has started cooking all the dishes. By the time she finished cooking, it was already 2am. We all had gone to bed by then.
1 Syawal 1429H had a rather late greetings from all of us. Hehehe. I overslept until 7.20am. Gosh!! Terrible right?? Niway, we woke u by 8.00am and had our "English" breakfast - Macaroni. After that, we had our bath and changed into our new clothes.
By lunch everything was ready and almost all our family members were already there. So it was lunch time!! We really enjoyed my mom's cooking. Super delicious!!
The 1-hour feast lasted until 1.00pm. Everyone was ready to "tapau" the extras.. Then off everyone went back to their homes. 2.00pm the house empty and silence filled the space. My mom and I went back to Bayan Baru (paternal grands' house) at 6.45pm.
Really tiring. Gosh!! ... but happy.. (",)
