After the 2008 election [which I missed~], now the heat is back, even hotter. :) All party members are tagging along with their reps doing campaigns. Both sides, the Government & the Opposition.
Less than 8 hours, the doors to the polling centres will be opened. Permanent inks will be painted on our finger. We shall take responsibility to cross for the person/party that we trust most, who/which had brought peace, developments & serenity to our country. Yes, our RESPONSIBILITY!!!
But before taking our responsibility to vote, we are being exposed with many kinds of campaign strategies. They even went out of their creativity boxes and build replicas of war tanks, airplanes, helicopters, submarines, cannons and the most interesting replica that I saw was in Sik, Kedah, an ant (no photos though)!!
Ah-ha.. That's what happens when Malaysian show their creativity!! Putting extra efforts to produce a good replica in support to their reps.
However, there are some attractive & eye-catching banners/placards being put up expressing what voters feel towards government/opposition & some shaming slanders portrayed to others.
A phrase that caught my attention was "INI KALI LAH". I was rather lost at the early stages of the Pre-GE, but managed to ask a friend. It's a phrase by Sabahans, with mission to change government. ^_^ OK. I sort able to imagine the way it is being said, it is something like saying "BOLEH BAH KALAKAU"~
Everybody wants a peaceful country. Everyone wants fair authorities. Everybody wants the price of fuel, cars, houses, etc. to be at the most minimum. Everyone looking towards a free education system. And the list goes on.... But what are we actually portraying does not show that we deserve all those have been listed. Is this the behaviour of our future leaders? Think, analyze & give the answer.
To me, there is no problem for supporters to campaign for their reps, but it is so not Malaysian & Eastern to be uttering vulgar words, creating havoc, portraying protest attitudes & God knows what else. Well, Malaysians have to take extra efforts to tame their acts, words & behaviours!! Let it be BN or PR, both parties have those kind of supporters. =="
Please be MATURED! Eligible voters are those of 21y.o. & above. It's considered as an ADULT!! So there should be a difference between this category & children. Therefore start behaving like one not giving excuses & putting words into other people's mouth!
Being rational is one thing, being professional is another. During the BIG decision makings, everyone should be rational to have a final say and put it to a fullstop! However in a country with many ethnics, every single people has to be professional with their acts. We might be supporting different political parties, but 1 thing we must remember is that we did not befriend our current friends based on political parties, but through mutual understanding, peaceful environment & most importantly is education.
So please bare in mind that we do not want to lose a friend/family just because of these political issues. Let bygones be bygones. Be a part of the history-making but don't make history with a history that you live to regret.
