That's the common tune that had always been on-air annually, when Malaysia celebrates its Independence Day. This particular song sung by Allahyarham Sudirman Hj Arshad, the all-time famous singer and Malaysian legend.

Today, Malaysia celebrates its 51st Anniversary for its independence. Everyone of us should be proud indeed, to have such a wonderful country. For the last 50 years, our ancestors, granparents had sacrificed their tears and bloods to make sure that Malaya (then), will no longer be colonised by the English, Dutch, Japanese nor British.

So, in this very year, we ought to be proud being independent people. With the multi-racial lifestyle that we are practising, there is no doubt that we can leave in harmony. It's so appropriate to the theme given "Perpaduan Teras Kejayaan".

In order to let the peace and harmony of Malaysia everlasting, we as responsible Malaysian citizens need to see to the our country's well-being. Co-operation is much appreciated from all races. Therefore, we should unite as one. United we stand, divided we fall!!
